   He has been awarded Japan's prestigious Fukuoka Prize for 2016, making the country proud once again.
The Fukuoka Prize is an award established by the city of Fukuoka and the Fukuoka City to honor the outstanding work of individuals.The Award was announced on Monday, May 30.Rahman received this honor for his outstanding contribution towards creating, preserving and showcasing South Asian traditional fusion music.
